First hockey training session after the off-season
After two months away from hockey, tonight will be the first training session back and will no doubt be a tough one.
Unlike some of the other team members I have done pretty much no exercise whatsoever over the break, which could prove to be a big mistake.
The Wednesday sessions have increased by half an hour to two hours in length, allowing more time for fitness and more drills.
As with the previous two seasons, I have decided to continue playing in defence rather that returning to my usual position between the pipes.
Why? Because last season proved to be really enjoyable and by far less frustrating than past seasons playing in goal.
Hopefully this season there will be no mention in the ‘Hall of Shame’ listing of those with the most penalty minutes.
