Why re-invent the wheel and waste my own time? Because I can.

Over the past few years I have come up with a few ideas of projects I would like to work on, yet less than probably 20% of them were ever completed.

This year alone I have started on maybe five or six things only to leave them half complete to focus of other things.

Although there are things I would like to finish, there is one project that requires completion before I can move on to anything else. This is the completion of a simple invoicing system that began a few weeks ago, but had a change in direction earlier in the week.

Some people will say why bother as there are many solutions readily available, others have said that it sounds like a great idea. My response is that accounting is something that I don’t want to be spending money on with a subscription fee, as I have no idea how much extra work I will be able to take on and do not want to be throwing money at something I have the ability to do myself.

Yes, it would free up some time to concentrate on other things, but I am now determined to get this project completed and in use as soon as possible.

The design is taking shape and starting to look more more professional, it does however require some tidying up and a bit more concentration in done areas.
