Movie special effects deteriorate quite rapidly
I have just sat down to watch a bit of television and spotted that ITV2 are showing The Lost World: Jurassic Park.
It reminded me of how amazing it was to sit and watch the first Jurassic Park film way back in 1993.
At the time it boasted revolutionary graphics that would set the standard for years to come.
When looking back and watching the films again, it seems obvious now that the dinosaurs are nothing more than CGI and model work but at the time it seemed difficult to believe otherwise.
I thought along similar lines the other day when re-watching The Day After Tomorrow, which is now six years old.
On a slightly related note, Release date information for films has been made easily accessible with the use of the free IMDB application that I have just installed.
