New theme customisation options for YearBlog users

Last night I started work on adding in a the first (hopefully of many) options to the YearBlog Theme.

Anyone who currently has a YearBlog can now decide what colour they would like to use as the primary theme colour.

All you have to do is login as normal, then navigate to the theme options by going to Appearance > Customise on the side menu.

Once you’re on the settings page simply enter a HEX value or colour name and hit Save Changes.

There have been a few additional feature requests, such as a YearBlog Links Widget and ability to add a custom background image.

Although these modifications are not at the top of my priority list, I do intend to get them done at some point.

Luckily I’ve followed a similar method of implementation used in some of my plugins (including the WordPress SubHeading Plugin), so this should help speed up the process of adding new options.

Just a quick update to inform everyone that there are now two additional customisable options.

You can now choose a secondary (text) colour, and define a background property (colour / image).
