Cheating with the Xbox Band Hero singing achievements

Yes I know, it’s all a bit sad playing a computer game with a set of plastic instruments – but I love it!

Ever since Guitar Hero II I’ve been quite hooked, purchasing pretty much every instrument related game since (with the exception of Lego Rock Band that is).

I have the whole set, guitar (Logitech Wireless Guitar), drums (Logitech Wireless Drum) and the dreaded microphone. Everyone seems to really enjoy playing the drums and guitar parts, but when it comes to singing there’s not much interest.

This is irritating for people like myself, who want to try and get as many achievements as possible.

Luckily I’ve found a way to ‘cheat’ the game as such, by making use of the headset and a non-existant radio station.

I simply tuned the player so that it would produce a lot of random noise, placed the microphone against the centre speaker and played on beginner level vocals.

Xbox + Headset + Radio = Cheat!

This allows me to play through each song and get 100% / 6 stars on each one without having to do a great deal.

The technique is very similar to using the ‘fan’ method, but I don’t have one, so improvised a little.
